About this file

This is a pruning cycle maps document for the City of West Sacramento, California, detailing tree maintenance work across multiple Community Facilities Districts (CFDs) and related service areas. The City is soliciting proposals through an RFP to provide tree maintenance services across 13 CFDs and additional districts, encompassing approximately 15,472 trees total. The work is organized into a 3-4 year pruning cycle with maps delineating service areas by district. Specific CFD allocations include CFD-A Gateway (866 trees), CFD-B Newport (1,609 trees), CFD-C Bridgeway Island (3,041 trees), CFD-D Southport Industrial Park (1,242 trees), CFD-E Classics (775 trees), CFD-F Pheasant Hollow (293 trees), CFD-G Gateway (152 trees), CFD-H Bridgeway Lakes (2,742 trees), CFD-I River Ranch (230 trees), CFD-J Parella (697 trees), CFD-M Rivers (408 trees), CFD-N Parlin Ranch (841 trees), CFD-O Linden South (119 trees), CFD-P Ironworks (123 trees), CFD-R Bridge District (250 trees), Landscape and Lighting District (2,300 trees), and CAM facilities including the Community Center, Los Rios College Building, and Yolo Library (89 trees). Trees are located on both city-maintained landscapes and resident-maintained streetscapes between sidewalk and curb.

Qualified proposers must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations, hold a California Contractor's License (C-49), maintain a Certified Arborist on staff during performance, demonstrate ability to create traffic control plans, and provide evidence of previous work experience with other public agencies. Traffic control plans (TCPs) are specifically required for lane closures on major roads. The pruning cycles are dynamic and subject to adjustment based on workload distribution across service areas. The document references 18 detailed maps corresponding to individual CFDs and service areas to guide contractor work allocation and scheduling throughout the contract term.
