About this file
The provided document is a comprehensive project manual for the Colorado Mountain College Edwards Radiology Lab Renovation project, prepared by Hord Coplan Macht architectural firm. The project involves renovating a 500 square foot classroom into a new radiology laboratory at the Edwards Campus located at 150 Miller Ranch Road in Edwards, Colorado. The project manual includes detailed specifications across multiple divisions, covering everything from architectural requirements to mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems. The manual provides comprehensive technical guidelines for the general contractor, including specific requirements for materials, installations, submittals, testing, and quality assurance.
The project manual indicates a total project budget is not explicitly stated, but includes extensive technical specifications that suggest a complex renovation requiring specialized technical expertise. The specifications outline rigorous requirements for materials, installation methods, testing procedures, and quality control, with particular emphasis on fire protection systems, radiation protection, and specialized medical laboratory infrastructure. The project will require precise coordination between multiple trades, with specific priorities for system installations in ceiling spaces and detailed requirements for documentation, including shop drawings, record drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals. The manual suggests the project will involve significant technical complexity, particularly in radiation protection and specialized medical laboratory infrastructure.
