About this file
Addendum 001 for RFP 1111-24P is issued by Colorado Mountain College for a Radiology Lab Remodel project at their Edwards Campus. The addendum addresses multiple clarification points for the 500 square foot renovation, including specific flooring requirements (Mannington Commercial Sheet vinyl, Realities III, Boardwalk Coconut), moisture testing protocols, glazing specifications, and lead-lined drywall details for the X-ray room. Key modifications include clarifications on wall treatments, radiation protection requirements, door and window specifications, and painting scope, with no bid bond required for proposal submission.
The addendum provides technical details regarding construction materials and installation specifications, highlighting nuanced requirements for the radiology lab renovation. Specific technical guidance is provided on countertop edge treatments (half bullnose, 1" thick slab), ceiling height assumptions (9'-6"), and paint restoration in the existing hallway. The project involves precise modifications to an existing space, with careful attention to radiation protection, material specifications, and compatibility with existing architectural elements. No specific pricing or funding details are outlined in the addendum, which focuses primarily on technical clarifications and design specifications for potential contractors.

RFP 1111-24P
Addendum 001 Issued January 8, 2024
1. Drawing A-111, Note 9 calls for flooring to be sheet vinyl, Specification 096519 is for LVT and no specification for sheet vinyl. Please clarify which product is to be used.
Please provide Mannington Commercial Sheet vinyl, Realities III, Boardwalk Coconut, #5667R, finish: Quantum Guard.
2. Drawing A-111, Note 9 calls for sheet vinyl to be Mannington Commercial, Boardwalk, Coconut. Mannington makes 2 different quality of this product, Realities III and Attune, Please select the quality required.
Please provide Mannington Commercial Sheet vinyl, Realities III, Boardwalk Coconut, #5667R, finish: Quantum Guard.
3. Specifications 096519, Action 3.2.B.4 calls for moisture testing on the floor prior to installation. Does contractor need to include the cost of this testing in the bid?
Moisture testing is required because it is a standard requirement for manufacturer’s warranties. It is especially important to test old/existing slabs - older adhesives were much more tenacious than current ones and could stick to high-moisture slabs, encapsulating the moisture. Opening it up 40 years later could expose a wet slab that never completely dried. This is true for both slabs-on-grade and elevated slabs.
4. Specification 088000 Glazing only includes clear annealed float glass, tempered and heat-strengthened glass and specification 134400 Radiation Protection does not list any glass. Does the 6mm glass in the technician viewing window need to be radiation glass?
Radiation protected glazing is not required per the attached X-Ray Shielding Design Analysis and Recommendations report.
5. Drawing A-111, walls. Please clarify extent of lead lined drywall.
Extent of lead lined drywall is indicated in the construction documents. Refer to the attached X-Ray Shielding Design Analysis and Recommendations report for clarifications if needed.

D. Wall between X-Ray room between technition to be wall only with 1 layer of 5/8" drywall on each side with no radiation protection.
6. Head condition for overlays and new wall to be similar to Drawing A-410, Partition Head Detail?
Confirmed. No need for partitions or overlays to extend past existing ceilings to deck.
7. Please confirm, no bid bond is required with proposal submission, just the COI?
No requirement for bid bond.
8. The door 133A is that an N-type door?
Yes, and to match existing doors on site as indicated in keynote #1.
9. The W1 Type window is to be price of .6 mm (1/4" clear tempered) But this window is in the X-ray room. Same with the door.

12. Floor to Ceiling Height?
Existing ceiling height is assumed to be 9’-6” but height to be verified in field.
13. Spec for existing acoustical ceiling tile.
Existing acoustical ceiling material is unknown as building was constructed in 2010 and we don’t have access to specifications. Confirm in field.
14. Hardsurface Countertop:
· Bullnose edge preference – full, half, demi bullnose. Half bullnose.
· Thickness of slab – 1 ½” or ¾”. ¾” slab, 1 ½” thick bullnose edge.
