About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for contract PR16101192 - HSI Furniture Renovation Project issued by the Embassy of the United States of America in Bogotá, D.C., Colombia through the GSO/Contracting Unit.
The document addresses 21 questions from prospective contractors regarding project requirements and specifications. Key requirements include Defense Base Act (DBA) insurance coverage, which is mandatory, with K2 Oconus Insurance Services, LLC and Gallagher (formerly Clements Worldwide) identified as approved insurers. The project requires delivery around the first week of November 2025, contingent upon alignment with an accompanying office remodel project. Floor plans were provided with the Statement of Work (SOW) detailing workstation layouts, offices, conference rooms, and glass panel installations. Panel heights have been clarified as 1.65 meters (orange) for general workstations and 1.10 meters (green) for private offices, with all workstations requiring upper cabinets and filing cabinets. The project includes multiple furniture items: Ergohuman office chairs, workstation chairs, upholstered leather chairs, lounge chairs for reception areas, circular tables (1.0 m circumference x 0.73 m height), low tables (0.60 m circumference x 0.40 m height), library/bookcase units, and glass partition systems. The Vetro Panel System specifications reference technical requirements in the SOW package. Glass divisions may use either Italian brand fittings with aluminum frames and tempered/laminated glass, or the same paneling system as proposed, pending technical evaluation. The submission deadline was extended to July 30, 2026 at 4:00 PM to allow incorporation of clarifications into proposals. All information and related documents can be found on SAM.gov using process number PR16101192.
