Google Backup RFP Summary
This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) document issued by the State of North Carolina for Google Backup services. The procurement seeks a vendor to provide backup and disaster recovery solutions for Google Workspace environments. The project aims to establish a comprehensive backup system to protect critical data stored in Google applications including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and other Google Workspace tools. The RFP specifies requirements for automated backup capabilities, data retention policies, recovery time objectives (RTO), and recovery point objectives (RPO) to ensure business continuity. Proposers must demonstrate experience managing large-scale Google Workspace backup infrastructure and provide detailed technical specifications for their proposed solution architecture. The solicitation includes specific evaluation criteria focused on vendor qualifications, technical approach, implementation timeline, and support capabilities. Interested vendors must submit proposals by the stated deadline, with award anticipated following proposal evaluation and potential vendor interviews or demonstrations.
The RFP requires vendors to provide comprehensive pricing for backup services, including setup fees, monthly recurring costs, storage charges, and any additional service fees. Pricing should accommodate the state's current Google Workspace user base and anticipated growth over the contract term. The state has indicated specific performance requirements including recovery time commitments and data availability guarantees. Vendors must detail their support model, including hours of operation, response times for backup failures, and escalation procedures. The contract term and any renewal options will be specified in the final award document. The state anticipates selecting a single vendor to manage all Google Workspace backup and recovery services across state government operations.
