About this file

This document provides introductory guidance on how to use the General Application Instructions (GAI) for Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) funding opportunities. The GAI is designed to be read in conjunction with the specific program announcement for each funding opportunity and serves as a companion document that provides detailed procedural information on application preparation and submission. The program announcement itself contains the basic content requirements (what to submit), while the GAI contains the operational instructions (how to submit).

Applicants must ensure that the version number of the GAI they consult matches the version specified on the front page of the corresponding program announcement to maintain accuracy and compliance with current requirements. Users should access the GAI through hyperlinks provided within the program announcement rather than seeking it independently.
