About this file
This is a specifications document for an RFP issued by the City of Pittsburgh's Equipment Leasing Authority (ELA) for the procurement of a four-door SUV apparatus designated for use by Command personnel providing service to the City of Pittsburgh. The specifications detail the required vehicle configuration, performance standards, and operational capabilities needed to support the ELA's Command function. The document establishes comprehensive technical requirements for the SUV, including engine specifications, transmission type, interior and exterior features, safety systems, and equipment integration capabilities. Bidders are required to propose vehicles that meet or exceed all specified standards to ensure the apparatus can effectively serve the city's operational needs.
The specifications establish baseline requirements for vehicle performance, durability, and functionality rather than pricing parameters. Prospective vendors must demonstrate that their proposed SUV model meets all technical specifications outlined in the document, including chassis requirements, powertrain standards, interior configurations, and specialized equipment capabilities necessary for Command operations. The document serves as the technical evaluation criterion against which all submitted proposals will be assessed, ensuring that the selected vehicle meets the ELA's operational standards and can adequately support Command personnel in their service delivery to Pittsburgh.
