Please confirm physical separation will not be required between the detour routes and adjacent paved roadways
7/18/2017 It is assumed that the question is related to the pedestrian detour for Culvert 15, shown on sheet C25.
Detail 5 on sheet C28 shows that the pedestrian bypass will be separated by the roadway using a fence. The reference to detail 7 on sheet C28 for the fence shown on detail 5 on sheet C28 is incorrect. Use the fence detail 5 on Sheet C43 for the fence called out on detail 5 on sheet C28 .
In regard to the Bridge Decks & Railings and Wall Cribbing, there are no specifications for Rough Carpentry or Heavy Wooden Framing.
Please provide.
7/26/2017 Specification sections 061063 and 061300 will be uploaded on the FBO website.
Which Contract Line tem should the Ford, shown on sheet C19, be priced?
8/3/2017 Use Contract Line Item # 43, Lock 16 Temporary Controls (Option B)
We believe there may be two different beams specified for the Lock 19 Bridge No.1 Sheet S2C identifies the beams as W12x50; Sheet S3B identifies the beams as W12x45. Please advise.
8/3/2017 Sheet S2C is for Bridge at Lock 20 and Sheet S3B is for bridge at Lock 19. The sizes indicated on the plans are correct.
We believe there may be two different beams specified for the Lock 19 Bridge No.2 Sheet S3B identifies the beams as W12x45; Sheet S3E identifies the beams as W12x58. Please advise.
8/3/2017 The beam sizes for both bridges at Lock 19 is W12x45 as indicated on sheet S3B. The W12x58 size on sheet S3E is a typo and should be W12x45.
Reference Volume I, Tab A, Subfactor 1.2, page 153 of 178: The NOTE included with this section at the bottom of the page reads: NOTE: If the concrete work will be performed in-house by the Prime Contractor, the submission for the Masonry Subcontractor can include different project examples then the ones provided in the Prime Contractor Experience submission. Please confirm this note should be revised to read: NOTE: If the masonry work will be performed in-house by the Prime Contractor, the submission for the Masonry Subcontractor can include different project examples then the ones provided in the Prime Contractor Experience submission.

Ref.011100-3,para.1.6.B. It states “all work requiring the canal to be dewatered must be completed by April 1 to allow boat operations to commence.” Is this referring to only Level 20 or to every site on the project?
8/4/2017 This paragraph has been revised to "The Contractor shall complete all work at MP 16.9 Breach, Level 20, Lock 19, Lock 18, Lock 17, Lock 16, and Lock 15 by March 15, 2019 so that NPS can resume interpretive boat operations.
