About this file
This is a Cost Point Calculation attachment for Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals ODMR 2627-0005 issued by the Ohio Department of Medicaid to procure a qualified vendor for Provider Reimbursement Technical Assistance activities. The document establishes the evaluation methodology for scoring cost proposals submitted in response to this competitive solicitation. No specific information regarding contract term, renewal options, response dates, or project scope details is contained within this attachment.
The cost proposal evaluation will allocate a maximum of 65 points to competing offerors based on a prorated scoring methodology. The offeror submitting the lowest proposed cost will receive the maximum 65 points available. All other proposals will receive points calculated using the formula: (Lowest Cost Proposal ÷ Offeror's Proposed Cost) × 65 = Offeror's Cost Proposal Points. This ensures that cost evaluation is comparative and directly proportional to pricing competitiveness among all submitted proposals. The document provides a template for applicants to calculate their anticipated cost proposal points by inserting their proposed cost and the lowest cost proposal amount into the designated formula fields.

ATTACHMENT F – COST POINT CALCULATION
The total points available for the Cost Proposal for this RFP are 65. The Offeror with the lowest proposed cost will receive the maximum points available. All other Proposals will receive points on a prorated basis as follows:
(Lowest Cost/Offeror’s Cost) x Maximum Total Cost Points = Offeror’s Points Total
Calculation example:
Maximum cost points= 60 Offeror X proposed cost = $100.00 Offeror Y proposed cost = $120.00
Offeror X has the lowest cost and would receive the maximum of 60 points.
Offeror Y’s cost points are determined by dividing Offeror X’s cost by Offeror Y’s cost and multiplying by 60: (100/120 X 60) = 50 points
