About this file

This document provides notice of intent to sole source a contract for a Focused Ion Beam Scanning Electron Microscope (FIB-SEM) electron optics system. The National Institutes of Health intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Tescan USA as the only known responsible source that can meet the requirements. Small businesses are invited to submit capability statements by August 22, 2022 demonstrating their ability to fulfill the requirement, though sole source award to Tescan USA is anticipated within 10 days barring an acceptable alternative. The FIB-SEM system must meet detailed technical specifications for electron and ion beam optics, vacuum systems, stage design, detectors, automation, imaging capabilities, and include a two-year warranty.
