About this file

This document is a technical service guide for AT&T's Network on Demand functionality, which provides an online self-service portal called AT&T Business Center for customers to purchase and manage telecommunications services. The document does not identify specific state agencies, consortiums, or jurisdictions involved, but rather serves as a general service description and operational guide for AT&T's business customers seeking to utilize automated ordering and provisioning capabilities for network services.

The guide covers AT&T Switched Ethernet Service offerings available through Network on Demand, including basic service arrangements, per-packet class of service configurations, Internet EVCs, and AT&T Dynamic Exchange connections. Key services include customer port connections with various bandwidth options, committed information rates, and virtual connections. Pricing is detailed for Dynamic Exchange services, with a monthly enablement charge of $0.00 per port and bandwidth charges ranging from $325.00 for 10 Mbps connections to $3,850.00 for 10,000 Mbps connections. The document specifies technical requirements such as IPv4 and IPv6 support, VLAN configurations, and connection limitations, while noting that services are provided on a month-to-month basis with customers maintaining responsibility for security measures and network protection protocols.

NETWORK ON DEMAND GUIDE

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Network on Demand is an ordering and provisioning functionality that allows Customers to purchase and manage services offered via Network on Demand at qualifying locations using AT&T Business Center, an on-line, self-service portal. Functionality includes:

· Click-through contracting and ordering of supported services;

· Setting up new Customer ports;

· Changing bandwidth and classes of service;

· Maintenance trouble reporting;

· Order status updates; and

· Online bill view and bill pay.

Network on Demand requires the use of AT&T Business Center, which is available at no additional charge, to perform certain ordering and service management functions. Customers must have a web interface to access and use AT&T Business Center. AT&T may, in its discretion, add to or modify the services, order types, features, and functionalities supported by Network on Demand. Customers may determine the supported services, order types, features, and functionalities through the use of AT&T Business Center.

Network on Demand is optional. Other ordering and provisioning processes remain available. Services purchased through Network on Demand may be billed using billing systems or processes other than those which might be used if those services were ordered or provisioned through other means.

Services may be purchased using Network on Demand only in those locations for which AT&T has made Network on Demand available. Service availability may be determined by the Customer through AT&T Business Center. The availability of Network on Demand ordering is subject to the availability, capabilities, and capacity limitations of AT&T Business Center.

Rates, terms, and conditions for services purchased using Network on Demand vary in certain respects from the rates, terms, and conditions that otherwise apply to the services. For services purchased using Network on Demand, to the extent the rates, terms, and conditions set forth in this document vary from those set forth in the applicable service publications, the rates, terms and conditions set forth in this document govern.

2. SUPPORTED SERVICES

2.1. AT&T Switched Ethernet Service

Network on Demand will support the following order types, features, and functionalities of AT&T Switched Ethernet Service. Availability and capabilities of Network on Demand are subject to modification at AT&T’s sole discretion.

A. Basic Service Arrangement. Add, change, or disconnect the following:

1. Basic Customer Port Connection (Basic Port);

2. Committed Information Rate (CIR);

3. Class of Service (CoS); and

4. Ethernet Virtual Connections (EVC).

B. Per Packet Class of Service Arrangement. Add, change, or disconnect the following:

1. PPCoS Customer Port Connection (PPCoS Port);

2. Committed Information Rate (CIR) and Class of Service (CoS) Packages;

3. PPCoS Scheduling Method; and

4. Ethernet Virtual Connections (EVC).

C. Other. Add, change, or disconnect the following (as applicable):

1. Additional MAC Addresses;

2. Port Designation (change only, VLAN-based to Port-based or Port-based to VLAN-based);

3. Internet EVC; and

4. Dynamic Exchange Connection.

2.1.1. Terms and Conditions for Internet EVC (IEVC)

A. An Internet EVC (IEVC) connects an AT&T Switched Ethernet Service Customer Port Connection directly to the internet. IEVCs are not available for AT&T Switched Ethernet Service Third Party Access (3PA).

B. IEVCs are available only on 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, and 10 Gbps VLAN-based Customer Port Connections with Committed Information Rates of 1000 Mbps or less. Each IEVC must be ordered with a VLAN limited to internet traffic. Only one IEVC may be connected to any Customer Port Connection. IEVCs must be configured as point-to-point.

C. Activation of an IEVC will trigger billing for the associated Customer Port Connection and CIR, even if other Customer Port Connections have not yet been activated.

D. IEVCs support dual stack and are able to send and receive both IPv4 and IPv6 packets.

1. The IPv4 WAN assignment supports /28, /29, and /30 blocks of IPv4 addresses:

a.) IPv4 WAN /28 supports 13 host addresses (restricted availability);

b.) IPv4 WAN /29 supports 5 host addresses; and c.) IPv4 WAN /30 supports a single host address.

2. The IPv6 WAN assignment is a /64 block of IPv6 addresses with 2 to the power of 64 host addresses.

3. No LAN IP addresses are provided.

2.1.2. Terms and Conditions for AT&T Dynamic Exchange Business-to-Business and Business-to-Cloud Service Provider Connections (DEC) A. AT&T Dynamic Exchange can be used by any two Customers using AT&T VPN Service (AVPN) or AT&T Switched Ethernet Service to create a virtual connection for their separate networks. Each participating Customer must consent to the connection using the AT&T Dynamic Exchange portal.

B. AT&T Dynamic Exchange can be used by a Customer to create a DEC with a participating cloud service provider (CSP). Customers that allow their qualifying AT&T Network Service to be part of a DEC with a participating CSP must provide consent and authorization using AT&T Business Center. By connecting to a CSP, Customer agrees that its networks and data may be visible to, or accessible by, that CSP.

C. Participating Customers have sole responsibility for implementing suitable measures (e.g., firewalls, network address translation, encryption, access control lists) to avoid advertising Customer IP addresses or data to the other Customer or CSP participating in a DEC and to protect against security risks to the DEC.

D. DEC will be provided on a month-to-month basis. Two Monthly Recurring Charges (MRCs) will apply to any Customer Port Connection (Port) associated with one or more DECs:

1. A Dynamic Exchange Enablement Charge that will apply once per Port, per month, regardless of the number of DECs associated with the Port; and

2. A Dynamic Exchange Bandwidth charge that will apply for each DEC associated with the Port.

E. Rates are set forth in the table below:

F. Any Customer using a DEC may disconnect the DEC, which will then disconnect the DEC for both participating Customers or the Customer and the participating CSP. The Customer who originally created the DEC via the AT&T Business Center may request disconnection via the AT&T Business Center or by calling AT&T at 844-288-6633. The other Customer participating in the DEC must call AT&T at 844-288-6633 to request disconnection. All Customer disconnections of CSP connections must be initiated via AT&T Business Center.
