About this file
This document is a request for information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration regarding a draft statement of work for a pilot program to procure global navigation satellite system reflectometry data for monitoring ocean surface winds from 2023 to 2024. The NOAA Commercial Data Program intends to issue one or more contracts and is seeking industry feedback on the draft statement of work, including the feasibility, necessity, and applicability of threshold and objective requirements listed for regularly monitoring ocean surface winds. Responses to provide input are due by July 20, 2023 and shall be limited to 30 pages. Information obtained will be shared with the Interagency Committee for Advancing Weather Services to foster coordination on commercial weather data purchasing across the Federal Weather Enterprise.
