STATEMENT OF WORK
Background
OALM is dedicated to providing leadership, advice, and oversight in acquisition and financial advisory services to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as it crosses new frontiers of science and medicine to improve the health and health care delivery to everyone across the nation and the world. OALM strives to ensure that the best value in products and services, ranging from test tubes and office supplies to complex research and development, including bio-defense, are acquired to support agency mission activities and objectives. OALM’s services are delivered through the OAMP Office of the Director, Office of the Deputy Director, Administrative and Program Resources Office, Office of Acquisition Management and Policy, and the Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations. In addition, OALM provides oversight and support to ten (10) consolidated operations and acquisitions centers (COACs) that are aligned with the individual scientific Institutes and Centers (ICs) that carry out the extensive scientific enterprise of NIH.
