About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document for a Navy fence and gate installation project at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division in China Lake, CA. The Q&A document provides specific technical clarifications about the project, including confirming a 6-foot fence height, 9-gauge chain link fabric, bottom tension wire (instead of bottom rail), no barbed wire requirement, 24-foot wide lockable drive-through gates with manual operation, and 6-inch decomposed granite with 90% compaction.

Key project details include Solicitation Number N6893625Q5166, a full and open competitive procurement under FAR Parts 12 and 13, with response dates extended to 10/14/2025. The project involves fence and gate installation for 8 acres, with contractors required to be registered in SAM and certified through Defense Logistics Information Services. Contractors must remove existing fence lines on south and west runs, and provide a one-year warranty on materials and installation. The primary point of contact is Yvonne Stockwell, who can be reached at yvonne.c.stockwell.civ@us.navy.mil.
