Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectrometer Specifications 2-22-18
The contractor shall provide a 300 MHz or higher field, NMR spectrometer system that is fully computer controlled and has solution-state characterization capability. The spectrometer shall have z-gradient ability and sufficient amplifiers for 1H decoupling for solution-state NMR. The contractor shall provide for delivery and installation of the spectrometer, as well as disassembly, removal, and disposal of the current 300 MHz Bruker Avance NMR system with magnet. Complete specifications are as follows:
Solution-state There shall be two direct detect broad-band probes. One must at a minimum be able to detect 31P down to 15N on the X channel with 1H on the other channel and also be able to obtain a 1H decoupled 19F spectrum (X(F)/1H). The other bbo probe must have access to an X range, at a minimum, of 31P down to at 14N with 19F and 1H on the outer coil (X/1H(F)). Both must be able to lock on and characterize deuterium. Their operable temperature range must be -100 degrees Celsius to +130 degrees Celsius. They must have z-gradient capability. They must be able to conduct 2 dimensional experiments including inadequate (13C-13C), COSY(1H,1H), HMQC(X, H), and HMQC(X, H).
Auto-shim, auto-lock capabilities for solution-state 1H 2H gradient shimming for solution-state Real time data acquisition Ethernet TCP/IP interface, host to console Automated deuterium gradient shimming for solution state Software and Hardware with ability to run direct and indirect detect experiments including but not limited to: HMQC, HMBC, HSQC, COSY, TOCSY, INADEQUATE, NOESY, DEPT, HETCOR, and direct observation of 1H, and 13C, 15N, 19F, 29Si, 11B, and 31P with 1H decoupling for solution-state Software and Hardware with ability to run direct detect experiments including but not limited to: Direct observation of 13C, 1H, 15N, 29Si, 31P, 27Al, 19F and include 1H (and 19F) decoupling of broadband nuclei.
Automated system and probe calibration capabilities Complete operator’s manual and documentation Samples for calibration and systems tests, sample depth gauge Sample room temperature spinner and high temperature spinner Software for automation of lock, shims, phase, gain, sample insert/spin/eject, acquisition Acquisition computer with hardware/software installed Installation and delivery of entire system including freight costs Ability to readily insert processed data into Word files
Broadband RF System, 300 MHz or higher Channel 1: 1H and 19F and Channel 2: 14N to 31P capabilities minimum Both channels at least 0.1 Hz frequency resolution
Narrow Bore Magnet 300 MHz or higher Superconducting magnet Flexible Helium transfer line and magnetic field hazard signs Liquid helium hold time of 80 or more days Pulsed field gradient Helium probe and level meter Minimum14 Channel Shims
Digital Variable Temperature Control Unit Accurate to +/- 0.2ºC Accessories to allow for a temperature range of –100ºC to 130ºC in designated probes
