Text version

1. Do you want a hand pump to build pressure up on these cylinders or an air operated diaphragm pump?

The requested hydraulic pump is the apparatus to complete that evolution.

2. How do you plan to extend these cylinders all the way to then build pressure?

Please see response to question 1.

3. How will you retract these cylinders to full retract to then build pressure for a retract pressure test?

Please see response to question 1.

4. Do you want to capture any data here?

No data capture is being requested.

5. Please also confirm the hydraulic oil type used for the test.

Autosafe, a gov. type of ethylene glycol.

6. Is there a floor space requirement or any doorway restrictions?

The unit should fit within the following dimensions 84”L x 60”W x 60” H

7. Can you describe the user interface with the test stand?

Valve operator, gauge reader

8. Do you have a MFR name and/or part # for this piston pump?

The Government is not requesting a Brand name specific manufacturer. Any piston pump that meets the specifications within the Statement of Work will meet the requirement.

9. What Past Performance data does the Government require from interested Offeror if currently there is no Past Performance SPRS?

Per DFARS 213.106-2(b)(i)(C) In the case of a supplier without a record of relevant past performance history in SPRS for the FSC or PSC of the supplies being purchased, the supplier may not be evaluated favorably or unfavorably for its past performance history.

If an interested Vendor does not have SPRS data then they would still be considered and evaluated based on the remaining LPTA evaluation criteria identified in the Request for Quote solicitation.

10. What degree of filtration is needed for the pressure side: 0.1,1,3,5,10,40 microns?

The Government requires 5 Micron filtration on Pressure side.

11. What degree of filtration is needed for the return side: 0.1,1,3,5,10,40 microns?

The Government requires 10 Micron filtration on the Return

12. Do the isolation valves need locking handles?

The Government is not requesting locking handles.

13. Is there directional control valving needed?

Are the valves to be proportional, servo, or standard solenoid?

If proportional/servo valves what method of control is needed, 0-10VDC or 4-20 mAh?

The Government’s requirement is for a Standard Solenoid 120V AC

14. Per the pump’s maximum pressure of 10,000 psi, is this the pressure for the piston pump itself or the entire system?

The Government’s requirement is for the entire system to be regulated.

15. Does this system need a motor starter panel or will the end-user supply this?

The Government is requiring the pump to have an On/OFF switch, Vendor provided.

16. What is the required maximum flow rate, and does the flow rate need to be controlled?

The flow rate will vary, psi is the determining factor. The psi is controlled with a manual valve/gage

17. If we are controlling pressure with a relief valve, do we need to be concerned about heat?

Heat should not be a factor with the large tank.

18. On the distribution block/manifold, do the directional valves need to be wired into the on/off motor starter panel or will the government provide a switch/control for each valve?

The valves should be operated on the pendant. 24v internal in the controlled box.

19. Do the directional valves need to have one solenoid or two per valve?

One valve per solenoid.

20. Do we need to provide any load holding valves for the cylinders or does the government currently have the necessary valving for that? We are assuming you want us to provide this.

The solenoids act as a holding with a manual backup.
