Question: Can we mount our equipment in CAB 1 -RM 208/ CAB 2 - RM 208?
Answer: Be advised that prior authorization and vetting will be required before any equipment can be mounted/removed from RM 208.
Question: Can Basecomm provide last mile from B25008 to Hangar 7 RM 208?
Answer: The hangar is required to remain air-gapped. Defer to Base Communications for further details.
Question: Are there any requirements/limitations for the equipment to be used? E.g. must they follow DISA-compliance?
Answer: Yes, DISA-compliance is required for all equipment installed. Detailed information on requirements/limitations can be provided upon further request if necessary. (ex. equipment cannot be made in China)
Question: Can both 1Gbps ethernet circuits be provided via 1 switch?
Answer: Yes, it can be provided via 1 switch.
Question: Please advise if Air Fiber is an acceptable solution.
Answer: Anything considered to be a wireless connection cannot be placed in RM 208.
Question: Will the Unmanned Patrol Squadron be responsible for securing the local loop via Base Communications?
Answer: The physical equipment will be secured by us, VUP-19 in the hangar.
Question: Please confirm if there is no configuration requirement on Government owned equipment.
Answer: Configuration requirements in accordance to DISA policies and procedures.
Question: Please confirm that the 1GB Ethernet circuit is a handoff only?
Answer: Please provide additional information on this question. Please explain handoff only?
Reply: Please advise if contractor will terminate the ethernet circuit and Unmanned Patrol Squadron will manage and configure.
Answer: Based on the current setup, the DSTB is controlled/managed by NCTAMS Pacific’s Network Operation Center. With assistance from their representatives the Ethernet circuit can be managed and configured by us, VUP19. Defer further details to NCTAMS PAC as it is possible a different process may be required depending on the equipment utilized.
