About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers file for solicitation N6660425Q0483, addressing technical specifications and logistics for a 40HC container procurement. The Q&A covers key details including container configuration, specifically seeking clarification on a container with 4 factory side doors, the definition of "New (One Trip)" status, and delivery logistics. Respondents sought confirmation on whether the container would be a full open-side style with 4 full-height swing doors, and the government confirmed that a single 40ft container with internal dividing walls separating sections would be acceptable. Delivery details indicate the government has forklifts available for unloading, prefers a tilt bed trailer, and requires advance notification before delivery.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS N6660425Q0483

1. Want to clarify that you say 4 factory doors.

a. Sample Pictures Provided in Amendment

2. To ensure we are sourcing the correct configuration, we would like to confirm whether this refers to: A container with 4 full-height swing doors along one side (commonly referred to as an open-sided container), OR A different layout (e.g., smaller access doors or multiple doors positioned on more than one side).

a. Sample Pictures Provided in Amendment

3. I just wanted to clarify the meaning of "New (One Trip)" as you're using it. For example, are you referring to a container that was shipped once with cargo—such as from China— and then placed into inventory for sale as new?

a. This aligns with our requirement. We are aware that this is an industry standard

4. I understand that this calls for 4 factory side doors on new 40HC containers. Will this be in the ‘quadcon’ style or the ‘full open side’ style?

a. I understand that this calls for 4 factory side doors on new 40HC containers.

Will this be in the ‘quadcon’ style or the ‘full open side’ style?- We are not sure what he means by “quadcon” style. We understand that a quadcon is 4 separate containers that can be linked together as one. Or does he mean, that the 40ft container is divided into 4 separate sections. We do not want 4 individual containers that equal 40 ft. I assume that this would be the full open side style.

We are ok with 1 40ft container that has internal dividing walls separating each section.

5. Will a crane or forklift be on site to unload the container?

a. The Government has forklift readily available to support off load.

b. Notification will be required in advance to deliver.

6. Do you require units to be delivered on a tilt bed trailer?

a. Tilt bed trailer is preferred however the Government has forklifts to support off load.

b. Notification will be required in advance to deliver.
