About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for the manufacturing of MK41 VLS W1 cables. The data package can be requested from the contracting officer and must be deleted within 90 days of receipt. Offerors must have an active SAM, JCP, and FAPIIS registration. Question #6: Based on Section F, page 40, it appears that during the base award, there is a 12 month period of performance, but per CLIN # 1000AA, the contractor is expected to deliver the first 36 W-1 cables five months After Date of Contract Award. Please confirm this is the government's intent.

Please clarify if the intent is similar for the four option years.

Answer: The subassembly drawings all have the requirement for programmed cellular weave (explained in WS19179 section 3.19.2.3) and defines start weave end breakout locations and end weave, then shows areas identified as lead length, woven length, breakouts and sometimes skip weave lengths. WS19179 explains the weave requirements. The weave areas are woven and the lead length and skip weave areas are not woven.
