N40083-14-Q-3211 Install Floor Matting at Building 1007 Question Answer
1. Will we have access to the elevator to haul our material to the second floor?
Yes but the contractor must be aware of the weight capacity and not exceed it.
2. Does the Navy want to make any provision in this bid for the extra loads on the floor where the weight equipment sets?
Please quote the project as required. However, should you choose to provide an alternative bid you are welcome to but technical information be provided separate from the pricing.
3. Will the Navy take responsibility for removing all the doors that will be effected by this installation?
The Navy will be removing, storing and cutting down the doors should they need to be removed or altered.
4. What area will be given to store and stage our material for installation?
Space will be provided in the very near vicinity for the contractor to store their equipment. The floor in the prep, lay down area will be a finished tile floor and will need to be protected by the contractor.
5. Will you provide dumpsters for us or do we need to put this in our bid?
The dumpster shall be provided however, no volatiles shall be used on site or placed in the Government owned dumpster.
6. Can you please verify the square footage for the smart clinic?
The statement of work estimates 4,000 square feet. The variations of quantities clause has been included in the contract now. The bidder is to provide a per square footage price. If the actual square footage is above or below the 4,000 by more than 15% the price will adjust for the difference. The closing time has been extended to allow bidders to prepare this new requirement.
7. Was anyone else allowed to attend a site visit?
Yes, the Contracting Officer exercised their discretion to allow another site visit. Mr.
Larry McDonnell from Elite Concrete Coatings requested a site visit and it was granted.
