QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
04 May 2022
The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.
1. With regards to the Communication Equipment requirement for RFP N3220522R4075, does the installed internet capability need to be independent of the ship’s crew internet, ranging from 1MB – 3MB bi-directional, or can this bandwidth be shared with the rest of the ship?
ANSWER: The internet bandwidth can be shared with the rest of vessel.
2. The RFP says, “The contractor vessel shall provide 350 kW of 480 VAC, 3-phase, Delta, 60 Hz, 400 A electric power per bus to Sponsor equipment in event of engine failure.” Does that mean a single electrical feed is required or more than one (e.g. “per bus”)?
ANSWER: As the RFP states, the requirement is 350 kW of 480 VA, 3-phase, Delta, 60 Hz, 40 A per bus—primary bus and back up bus.
