QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and do not constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

QUESTION: Specification Item No: WI 105/106

Please provide drawings for the Deck Plates or Grating to be removed, Cleaned, inspected, painted and reinstalled. For estimating purposes, what are the count of grating pcs per space, the proper installation hardware and plate sizes, and the footage and MIL-PRF of rubber padding called out in WI 0105 7.1

ANSWER:

Drawing 5503947B and 5503946A (attached) provide a general plan for decking, fasteners and approximate quantities. All deck plates to be repaired or replaced shall be templated from the ship/examples removed. Omit the rubber padding in WI 0105 7.11, as it is not per references.

QUESTION: Specification Item No: WI 305

New WI #305 received 7/6/2022, KATO requests additional information for paragraphs 7.4.4 and 7.4.5 in order to quote repairs. Please give more detailed explanation of know problems.

ANSWER:

In accordance with paragraph 7.7.1.1, contractor should perform inspections of items in paragraph 7.4, and IAW paragraph 7.11.1 provide an “AS FOUND” conditions report including all recorded megger readings, recommended repairs and/or parts replacements.
