PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: 3.1.2, 3.1.3, & 7.2.2

Quantities for the paragraphs listed above are missing.

Please provide updated work item with missing amounts.

ANSWER: See Below:

7.2.2 Provide (6) computers for the OMT’s use and provide two (2) computers for the administrative assistants. One computer shall be outfitted for each of the office and workstation described in paragraph 7.2.1 of WI 010.

QUESTION #4:

Work Item 545 - COSAL STOREROOM GREY WATER PIPE

Enclosure 506-001 could not be found in this solicitation

Please provide missing enclosure.

ANSWER: 2.2.1 was in error. There are no pics. There is staging required, 6’, and lighting needed. Other than that, it is standard pipe repair.

QUESTION #5:

Work Item 574 - FIRE DOORS AND SHUTTERS (1 YR) (SCSI)

Total of doors for repair?

2.2Enclosure
2.2.1Fire Door and Shutter List (List shows 239 Doors)
3.0ITEM LOCATION/DESCRIPTION
3.1.1Locations
3.1.2Description/Quantity
a.Two hundred and five (305) hinged fire doors (239?)
b.Two (2) roller curtain doors (2)
c.Four (4) horizontal sliding doors (4)

Spec identifies 245 Doors and not 311?

Please clarify total doors for annual requirements to inspect, service, and test.

2.2.1 does not identify DOOR TYPE or OPERATOR per the Legend at the bottom of "CLASS A FIRE DOOR AND SHUTTER LIST"

Can this information be included in 2.2.1?

ANSWER:

Agreed the Work Item does add up. The Count is 239 on the list and 2 Roller Curtains and 4 Horizontal Sliding Doors. So 245 doors in total is correct.

With regards to the Type and Operator, We know that the list states that the 239 are Hinged Doors. Operator, more than likely mechanical. With that said, I would like to have a CFR provided when service is complete with the population of the Enclosure 2.2.1 with type and operator. The main point of this Work Item is to check operational service of the doors and shutters.

QUESTION #6:

Work Item 126 - FORWARD MAST PRESERVATION

Paragraph 1.1 mentions removal and service of ships whistles, but the work item does not direct contractors to do this.

Please advise.

ANSWER: There will be no whistle servicing. Preservation of the FWD Mast only

QUESTION #7:

Work Item 107 - PRESERVATION OF RAS STATION AND UNREP STATION KING POSTS

Scope is to SP11 where rust and scaling exists. Ship check is not available to assess what percentage is to be prepped to bare steel.

Please provide square footage or percentage to be prepped to SP11.

Please also be advised that since Chain, Sliding blocks are not being removed 100% preservation will not be achievable.

ANSWER: Inside the King Post will not be painted. Chain devices will be protected. Cut line will be at the end of the radius going into the King post. Contractor shall estimate 20% of each King Post will need to be SP11.

QUESTION #8:

Work Item 124 - HOUSE GRATING REPLACEMENT

7.2 Preservation shall include the entire sub-structures of the exterior landings top and bottom. Blast, prime and paint to match surrounding area

Grating replacement is for miscellaneous sections totaling 1000 sqft.

Please clarify how many pieces the 1000 sqft is to be cut into and how many linear feet of structure contractors should consider to be prepped/painted. Also blasting these areas is not cost effective. Recommend SP11 prep.

ANSWER: Depending on the size of sheets you buy, there are approximately 7 Areas, STA 7 over the top, All Life Boat Platforms (4 EA) and both FRB Platforms (2EA). For estimating purposes, Contractor shall assume 160LF of 3”x1/4” Angle Iron to be preserved.
