PARAGRAPH / SECTION NO: 7.2

TITLE: MEDICAL REPAIR THE MEAT PREP BOX

PARA 7.2 STATES, “NOTE; THE INSULATIONIS OF UNKNOWN MATERIAL. IT IS RECOMMENDED A SAMPLE BE TESTED BEFORE IT IS REMOVED.” HOWEVER THE OEM DRAWING PROVIDED CLEARLY SHOWS THE DECK AS MODULAR PANELS. THIS WORK ITEM SEEMS TO PRESUME THAT THE CURRENT REEFER BOX IS STICK BUILT AND NEEDS TO BE CLARIFIED AS IT IS A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE. IF THE CURRENT REFRIGERATED BOX ID MODULAR, THEN THE WORK EFFORT TO ACCOMPLISH THIS TASK WILL NOT BE AS CURRENTLY DESCRIBED IN THE ITEM. PLEASE CLARIFY .

GENERAL REQUEST. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE SPECIFIC DEFINITION OF THE SPECFIC REMOVALS REQUIRED

ANSWER:

The OEM dwg is what is installed. However it has been there for almost 30 yrs and there is no record of what kind if any maintenance or repairs have been made. You can assume that what is in the print is what is present and so state in your bid. The gov’t will NOT be liable for any costs later if the winning bid decides to test what comes out.

Again – As far as the author knows the box is built IAW the print.

See item 001 for definitions
