QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS - 7
The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.
Question 1: WI 0011 Funeral General Services
| Please clarify the method to be used to provide unit prices for services requested in this item, | as Cat A and Cat B price sheets do not have separate lines for these prices: |
| 7.1.1.5: Shore Power per KWH | |
| 7.1.3.2: Potable Water per gallon | |
| 7.1.4.2: Deionized Water per gallon | |
| 7.1.18.3 Ballast water removal per gallon. |
Answer: 7.1.1.5 shall be priced for each kWH 7.1.3.2, 7.1.4.2, and 7.1.18.3 shall be priced for each gallon. Also listed in CLIN 0001.
Question 2: WI 0105, Inspect Flight Deck Tie Down, Para No. 7.1.1, Page 0105-2 The work item requires checking for deformation and checked for excessive wear using a Go-No-Go gage of type identified in maintenance requirement card (MRC) C1 8VVK N, enclosure(4). The MRC (enclosure 4) was not provided with the specification. Please provide.
Is the Go-No-Go gage available from ships force or will the contractor be required to manufacture one?
Answer: See attached reference for Go No-go gauge template.
Contractor is required to fabricate tool. This drawing is provided to a secure site.
Question 3: WI 0105, Inspect Flight Deck Tie Down
| Is it the intent of the Government to re-nonskid over the tie downs? |
| Is the nonskid for the aft deck item sufficient to apply to this item also or is more required? |
Answer: The flight deck tie downs do not have non-skid applied to them.
Question 4: WI 0607 Install Equipment Stowage Rack, Para No. 7.2.2.2, Page No. 0607-2
| What is the waterline for this work item, the Lightship Waterline or the DWL? | |
| Is the angle framed brace required for the new locker like the brace on the existing stowage | locker shown in reference 2.2? |
Answer: It is the contractor’s responsibility to design a structure suitable to mount the equipment. Existing structure may be used as a template however this does not relieve the contractor of the structural requirements of the new installation.
Question 5: WI 0609 Install Mogas Container Rack Para 7.2 Page No. 0609-2 Is the contractor required to fabricate the MOGAS Racks per drawing MG SK-001 Rev C, Rack, jettison Fuel Cans, reference 2.1?
Answer: Contractor shall fabricate racks in accordance with MG SK-001, rev C. This drawing is provided to a secure site.
Question 6: WI 0911 Paint Water Jet Inlet Tunnels Para 3.4 calls out for contractor to use the following paint system:
3.4.1 NOVA PLATE, Red Oxide

| 3.4.3 NOVA PLATE, Black |
Per Sherwin-Williams paint rep the NOVA PLATE paint system is not available in those colors listed in Para 3.4.
Will MSC provide paint as owner furnished material or provide alternate paint system for para 3.4?
Answer: Nova-plate coats shall be buff, white then white. Material shall remain contractor furnished.
Question 7: Attachment J-10 Interport Differential Please provide the Interport Differential for Jacksonville, FL.
Answer: Interport Differential for Jacksonville, FL. is S223,235. Updated J-10 is provided in Amendment 0005.
