Questions and Answers - asked during site visit:

1) Do the man bars on the supply ducts have to be at a certain height?

a. After discussing with security and facilities, we are able to build a cage on the outside of the supply without needing to enter the ducts. This is the best option as it removes need for asbestos abatement

2) Does the grounding distribution need to be removed as part of the wire and tubing removal?

a. Yes as long as the raised floor system stays grounded.

3) Can we take pictures?

a. No. My team will take pictures and send out based on the requested images of floor tile sticker (showing manufacturer), the cable way being removed, and the breaker panels.

Photos will be provided by email to contractors who attended the required site visit.

4) How do the remaining cables in the raceway need to be secured?

a. The remaining live cables can be clamped against the wall.

Questions and Answers - asked post site visit:

1. Will a bathroom be available for use inside the facility or should we plan on renting temporary toilets? Bathroom inside facility is able to be used.

2. Will more than one escort be available, in case contractors need to go in and out individually for tools or breaks? Or should we assume one escort, and everyone is in or everyone is out, all at the same time together? There will be at least 2 escorts available.

3. Is it possible to get the Prime contractor’s superintendent cleared as an escort? No. escort must be a DNA staff member

4. Will there be a laydown area right outside the building for a dumpster? Yes, a laydown area is available to place a dumpster

5. Will parking be available near the building? Yes, there is a parking lot near the quarterdeck.

6. Is all work and outages to be performed during normal working hours, Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm?

Or will there be work required on nights or weekends? No work required on nights/weekends.

7. Is there a requirement to set up construction barriers and negative air, to keep all dust and contaminants 100% contained in the work area? Or is typical dust and debris control acceptable?

Typical dust and debris control acceptable.

8. Is the current HVAC system under warranty? If so, can you let us know who holds the warranty, so we may contact them before disturbing the duct work for the burglar bars? Change in requirement to install bars externally means no disturbance of duct work required.

9. Can you let us know the requirement (i.e. anchoring, sealing, etc) or provide a sketch for the sealing of bulkhead openings? Due to the OSS certification, we would prefer to provide exactly what is required, instead of guessing. Per guidance, expanded metal can be affixed directly to surface of grates. All openings greater than 96 square inches require the security protections mentioned above. Openings smaller than 96 square inches must be sealed in a manner to detect attempts of entry. In areas such as around pipes which are fixed in place, an expanable foam is used to fully seal the opening and provide an ability for detection of penetrations. Construction methods such as drywall, masonry and metal coverings can be utilized as long as placement and use is consistent with the MIL HNDBK 1013/1A and prevent / detect entry attempts. Strength must be contiguous in form

/ similar to the perimeter of the space; prevention or detection of illegal entry by tools.
