About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) / Sources Sought Notice issued by the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) seeking information from industry on the capability to provide an Ultra High Pressure Hot Isostatic Press with a 100,000-psi maximum pressure.
The RFI outlines detailed technical specifications for the required press, including pressure vessel, heating system, computer controls, and canister sealing capabilities. Interested parties are asked to provide a capability statement addressing their technical capabilities, the commerciality of the proposed item, and a product description demonstrating how the offered solution meets or exceeds the stated requirements. Responses are limited to 10 pages and should be submitted by April 5, 2024. The government is currently in the planning stages for this potential procurement and may modify the requirements as necessary. This RFI is for market research and planning purposes only and does not guarantee a contractual solicitation will be issued.
