Electronic Training Support System (ETSS) and Site Support Contract Draft SOW
Section C - Descriptions and Specifications (i.e. SOW)
1. BACKGROUND
1.1 Strategic Systems Programs, SP 2056 (the Government) provides training systems to various continental U.S. Sites to support the SSBN Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) and SSGN missions. The training systems use commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware currently running Windows 7, Windows 10, or LINUX operating systems as well as contemporary Windows Server software. During the life of this contract, the training systems may progress to replacement COTS operating systems. The level of complexity to maintain these systems is approximately that of maintaining COTS electronic classrooms with local area networks (LANs) that are confined to a single building. This SOW is for the contractor to provide contracted maintenance and life cycle services for those training systems. The training systems run software applications created by various government and third party contractors, such as but not limited to the Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) Virtual Instructor Program (VIPr), and are issued to this SOW’s contractor as GFE for integration and loading onto the training systems.
