d) Will any of these locations require a computer, or would a monitor with a display extender from the head-end equipment suffice?
Paragraph A a) All four monitors will display all eight cameras simultaneously.
b) The only interaction required would be for the monitor with the display extender. This monitor will require the ability to rewind a video, and record to a DVD.
c) The only interaction should there be a need will be the ability to rewind a video, and record to a DVD should the need arise.
d) A monitor with a display extender from the head-end equipment will suffice. The ability to view the feed on external devices i.e. iPhone, iPad, laptop using an IP address is required.
Please provide the desired location for the video recording device, switch, and other head-end equipment.

Will an equipment rack or other enclosure be required to house the head-end equipment, or will this new equipment be mounted in an existing cabinet/enclosure?
N/A It is not necessary to mount any equipment in the existing wiring closet.
The specifications provide the maximum capabilities of the video recording device; however, it is not stated what PPS or retention times are required for each camera. Please clarify the resolution, frame rate (PPS), and retention time (in days) for each of the eight (8) specified cameras.
Paragraph B The cameras should be set up at 320x240 image resolution, one frame every 2 seconds, and 7 days of image retention.
The specifications mention the capability of viewing live cameras on mobile devices. Is this a requirement of the system?
If so, has the facility confirmed the WAN ISP connection is capable of handling the bandwidth associated

The SOW lists a quantity of 9 cameras (6 standard IP cameras & 3 Multi-directional cameras) and the revised drawing shows only 8 cameras. The camera that was removed from the original drawing was covering the visitor waiting area. Was this camera a standard IP camera or Multi- Directional? Please advise so we list the correct camera quantities.
Paragraph B Please provide the quote based on the eight cameras shown on the drawing. All cameras are digital mini-dome cameras. The multi-directional cameras are no longer needed or required.
There is no mention in the SOW regarding how the four specified monitors will function. Does the government require independent control of each monitor or is it acceptable to provide the same video feed to all monitors? Independent control will impact cost due to additional equipment required.
Paragraph A The monitors will all display the same video feed. The intention is that the persons occupying the office can view the cameras from any location in the office.
The SOW specifies that a built-in DVD-R writer is required on the NVR. Would it be acceptable to provide an external USB DVD-R writer?
