About this file

This document is an Amendment to ODOT Contract 018-25 between the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Morton Salt. The amendment involves a contract modification for road salt procurement, with both parties agreeing to update the existing contract's terms and conditions.

The amendment increases the total salt contract quantity from 240,695 tons to 330,695 tons, adding 90,000 tons (+/- 2,500 tons) through two allocation methods: 50,000 tons distributed by county via an attached spreadsheet, and 40,000 tons to be dispersed across District 2, District 4, and District 12. The contract delivery deadline is extended to August 31, 2025, and continues to utilize salt from the Weeks Island, Louisiana mine. All other original contract terms from the May 24, 2024 execution remain unchanged, maintaining the existing pricing and communication framework established in the original agreement.
