About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by Miami-Dade County, Florida, through its Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department (PROS) and Housing and Community Development Department (HCD), seeking vendors capable of providing comprehensive laundromat services to county facilities. The RFI requires vendors to demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience installing, operating, and maintaining laundromat equipment for external or governmental facilities, supported by two reference letters from governmental agencies or detailed equipment inventory documentation. The scope of services encompasses furnishing, installing, and maintaining coin-operated and card-reader equipped washing and drying machines across multiple county locations including marinas, harbors, campgrounds, housing developments, and adult living facilities. Equipment must be new, energy star rated, and water efficient with a 14-pound load capacity. The county has identified eligible installation sites across Miami-Dade County in Attachment A, listing specific developments with quantities of top-load washers, front-load washers, electric dryers, and gas dryers required; however, the final number and placement of machines will be determined at the county's sole discretion upon contract commencement. Installation must be completed within thirty calendar days of award, with emergency work orders requiring delivery within seven calendar days. The RFI is not a formal solicitation, and submission of information is voluntary; vendors not responding will not be precluded from future solicitations.

Vendors must charge users no more than $1.00 per washing machine load and $0.50 per drying machine load for a minimum of 45 minutes, unless approved otherwise by the county. The awarded bidder must maintain all machines in working condition with repairs completed within 24 hours of notification, provide temporary replacements if repairs exceed this timeframe, and implement a refund process for malfunctioning equipment. Monthly revenue collection and reporting is required, with payment due on the 15th of each month, broken into separate submissions to PROS Finance Division and HCD. Vendors must obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and fees at their own expense and comply with South Florida Building Code, manufacturer specifications, OSHA safety regulations, and all applicable laws and ordinances. The county will provide water, electricity, lighting, air conditioning, trash disposal, pest control services, and recycling containers. The RFI requests vendor responses in questionnaire format with yes or no answers regarding capability to meet twelve specific requirements, including registration with Miami-Dade County, proof of comparable past contract awards, equipment inventory availability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
