CAC Overhead Door Eielson AFB, AK

Questions and Answers

1) Do any of the existing horns and sirens associated with this bay, need to be removed as part of this project?

Answer: No.

2) Will any new horns or sirens be added to the new doors as part of this project?

Answer: No.

3) Are any of the areas to be considered classified? Some of the existing conduit is explosion proof, some is not.

Answer: Area is no longer classified so explosion proof conduit not needed.

4) What is the existing floor coating make-up (epoxy, paint, etc.)?

Answer: The assumption is that the flooring is epoxy. Since the flooring is not part of the scope of the contract, it shouldn’t be considered in the bid pricing. Any damaged caused to the floor by the contractor will be assessed at that time and the coating can be determined. Contractors would be responsible for fixing any damage to the floor as a result of executing this contract.
