The contract was awarded by the State of New Jersey Division of Purchase and Property through the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing program to four contractors: Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc. (Sourcewell Contract #112624-CEC), Kubota Tractor Corporation (Sourcewell Contract #112624-KBA), Ariens Company (Sourcewell Contract #112624-ACO), and Deere and Company (Sourcewell Contract #112624-DAC). Each contractor holds corresponding NJSTART contract numbers enabling state and local agencies to access the awarded terms.

The contract encompasses two line items: grounds maintenance equipment and delivery costs, including expedited delivery and return shipping fees negotiated directly with contractors. Products range from lawn and garden equipment, zero-turn mowers, and turf products to compact tractors, utility vehicles, skid steers, and snow removal equipment, with offerings varying by contractor. The contract is effective through January 31, 2029, with three optional one-year extensions available through January 31, 2032. Pricing is determined by current price lists published on the Sourcewell website and NJSTART, with final costs calculated using list prices and negotiated contractor discounts. The contract excludes roadway maintenance equipment, snow and ice handling equipment, portable construction equipment, and agricultural tractors covered under separate state contracts. Using agencies must document their contractor selection process and demonstrate purchasing decisions are based on advantageous terms and pricing with no bias toward specific contractors. No minimum or maximum order quantities are guaranteed during the contract term.
