About this file
This document is an addendum to a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) for snow removal services at the CDA Complex. The addendum provides clarification on the submission process, compensation for additional snow removal work required due to heavy snowfall, and the disposal of removed snow. The RFQ has a due date of October 20th, 2023 at 5:00 pm PT.
The addendum states that all submissions must be made through the LUMA Supplier Portal, and that the vendor would be compensated for additional snow removal work required due to heavy snowfall during the workweek. However, the vendor is expected to clear all weekend snow accumulation in one occurrence to prepare for the next event. The vendor is also responsible for finding their own snow disposal location, as IDL does not provide a designated drop-off site.

REGARDING: IDL RFQ LUMA Event 151 Snow Removal Services, CDA Complex - ADDENDUM 1
This ADDENDUM 1 is sent as clarification only to the original solicitation sent October 6, 2023.
1) QUESTION: The original RFQ document instructions reference an email.
ANSWER: There is not an email address to submit this solicitation to. All submissions are to be done through the LUMA Supplier Portal. LUMA 151
2) QUESTION: If there was snow accumulation throughout the weekend leaving heavy snow fall over the 2” minimum that would cause normal operations to take longer, would we be compensated?
ANSWER: If there is a heavy and long-duration snowfall occurrence in which plowing was completed before 7:00 am. Then the vendor had to plow again after 5:00 pm because of the heavy snowfall occurring during a weekday. This would be considered as 2 separate invoices for 24 hours of coverage.
For the weekend activity, the vendor has all weekend to plow all snow accumulation to accommodate the safety of the employee who is reporting to work after 7am Monday morning, mindfully in 1 occurrence. The vendor should experience very little traffic, if any at all during the day to move as much snow as needed to be prepared for the next event. For a forecast of heavy and long duration of snow fall throughout the weekend, the vendor would be expected to call the COR ahead of time (Thursday-Friday) to talk about a weekend plan of coming in multiple times if needed. Pre-planning and solid communication for large and possibly unforeseen, immediate events, should eliminate all billing issues or concerns then after the fact.
3) QUESTION: If snow removal is required off property does IDL have a snow drop off location or do I find a place?
ANSWER: It would be ideal if you could find a place and very much appreciated.
These questions and answers are sent as clarification only and do not change the due date of the RFQ.
This solicitation closes: October 20th, 2023 @ 5:00 p.m., PT
Thank you.
