About this file
The document is a detailed List of Program Recyclables that comprehensively catalogs 15 distinct recyclable material categories. The list provides specific descriptions for each material type, including detailed specifications about what is and is not acceptable for recycling. Categories range from newspapers, corrugated cardboard, and magazines to various plastic containers (PET, HDPE, PP), metal cans (tin/steel and aluminum), glass containers, and aseptic cartons.
Each recyclable category includes precise guidelines for inclusion, such as specific plastic coding (e.g., #1, #2, #5), container types (bottles, jars, tubs), and explicit exclusions like loose caps, containers over 3 gallons, and contaminated materials. The document appears to be a standardized reference for recycling programs, providing clear, granular instructions for sorting and processing different recyclable materials to ensure proper recycling practices and minimize contamination.
