HONCHO SLIDE CULVERT REPLACEMENT SOLICITATION NO. L15PS00226

COOS COUNTY, BLM COOS BAY DISTRICT, OREGON Amendment 4 Attachment No. 1, Page 1 of 1

SECTION G – CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION DATA

Request for Information (RFI)

Questions (Q) and Answers (A)

Q1: As per drawing on sheet 7, the cut-off wall is shown to be as concrete. Is cut-off wall intended to be a separate structure incidental to the pipe, or is it part of the slurry mix backfill?

A1: Yes, the cut-off wall is shown to be as concrete on sheet 7. Elsewhere on the same sheet, the pipe bed material is referred to as "slurry". The terms are used interchangeably on that sheet and in the specifications section 03306 - minor concrete. The cut-off wall is not intended to be a separate structure incidental to the pipe. However, as shown on sheet 7, it is an extension of the slurry mix pipe bed (not "backfill").

Q2: If it is a structure, does it require rebar reinforcement?

A2: The cut-off wall is not a separate structure rather it is the termination of the slurry bed. No rebar is shown on sheet 7 nor is any rebar required.

Q3: Is the physical address of the Honcho Creek Slide site a Coquille, Oregon address?

A3: The project sites do not have an address. However, the legal description is as follows:

The Slide Creek site is at T30S T10W Sec 6, NW of SE and the Honcho site is at T26S R10W

Sec 33, SW of SW.

Q4: Is a faxed copy of the bid bond (also known as bid guarantee) acceptable?

A4: This solicitation does not allow the submittal of a bid guarantee via facsimile.
