About this file

This is a product specification document for the T7082 Air Conditioning/Heat Pump Operations Learning System submitted as part of Arizona's HVAC Learning Systems contract opportunity, which aims to provide HVACR students with access to modern learning systems to advance their educational and career prospects. The T7082 is an industry-standard training system manufactured by Amatrol that includes a mobile workstation with real-world HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, metering devices, evaporators, reversing valves, and refrigeration circuits. The system is designed for hands-on instruction in heating and cooling concepts, temperature and pressure measurement, compressor operation, and refrigerant management, making it suitable for HVAC technicians and installers. The T7082 comes equipped with comprehensive curriculum materials including a student reference guide, instructor's guide, installation guide, and optional eBook format courses, along with instrumentation sets containing flow meters, pressure and temperature gauges, and a microprocessor-based temperature control system.

The T7082 requires 120 VAC/60 Hz single-phase electric power and uses R134a refrigerant. The system can be expanded through the optional T7083 Environmental Applications Learning System to teach heating and cooling applications that model living structures and environmental effects such as sun exposure, humidity, insulation, and lighting. The manufacturer, located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, certifies the system to ISO 9001:2015 standards and provides complete technical specifications upon request. Additional curriculum materials and reference guides are available in both printed and digital formats to support comprehensive HVAC training programs.

Study Heating and Cooling Components and Practice on Real-World Equipment

Expand Your System To Teach Environmental Applications

The T7082 includes a variety of industry-standard components, such as fl ow meters, three types of control valves, pressure/temperature gauges, evaporators, reversing valves, heavy-duty industrial blowers, and a microprocessor-based temperature control system. Learners will use these components to pracƟ ce hands-on, skill-building tasks, such as determining the amount of subcooling in a mechanical refrigeraƟ on system, seƫ ng the pressures on a dual-pressure control device, using a gauge manifold to measure thermal system pressure, and tesƟ ng a thermostaƟ c expansion valve or compressor. Users will also learn how to observe and monitor heaƟ ng and cooling systems using various instruments, including sight glasses, moisture indicators, and a panel-mounted compressor ammeter.

The T7082 can be expanded to teach environmental heaƟ ng and cooling applicaƟ ons by adding the opƟ onal Environmental ApplicaƟ ons Learning System (T7083). The T7083 models the unique characterisƟ cs of a living structure and replicates both outside environmental eff ects, such as sun or humidity, and internal design characterisƟ cs, such as insulaƟ on, lighƟ ng, and ceiling fans.
