About this file

This is an addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Alabama Department of Corrections for hospital guard services to provide security and supervision of incarcerated inmates requiring hospitalization. The contract seeks qualified suppliers to provide guard services at designated hospital facilities, with the current contract expiring on August 20, 2026, and the new contract commencing on August 21, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST at the RSA Union Building Procurement Auditorium in Montgomery, Alabama. Attendance at this conference is required for all suppliers wishing to submit bids in response to this solicitation.

The addendum modifies specific terms and conditions of the original ITB to clarify requirements and expectations for bidders. Detailed specifications regarding staffing levels, qualifications, training requirements, performance standards, and compensation structure are outlined in the associated contract documents. The addendum serves to ensure all potential bidders have consistent and complete information prior to submission of their bids and establishes the framework for contract performance and oversight throughout the contract term.
