About this file
This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the State of Idaho for a Vacuum Street Sweeper. The ITB outlines the technical specifications and requirements for the sweeper, including desired delivery timeframes, termination conditions, engine and emissions standards, axle and suspension requirements, cab and filtration system specifications, gutter broom parameters, dirt hopper construction, water system capacity and features, and available options. The State is seeking a single diesel engine design that meets Tier 4i emissions standards, with a sweeping width of at least 137.8 inches. The State will accept some variances from the specified requirements, such as longer delivery timelines, stainless steel hoppers, and two-nozzle brush systems, but will not waive certain key features like the pressurized cab and gutter broom down pressure monitoring.
Pricing terms, set-asides, and funding sources are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation. The ITB indicates the contract will be awarded to a single vendor, but does not mention any incumbent or provide information about the current market environment. The State has specified certain minimum technical requirements, but appears open to considering alternative solutions that meet the core functional needs, as long as they adhere to the overarching performance and environmental criteria outlined in the ITB.
