About this file

This document is an insurance requirements checklist for the West Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (WSAFCA) contracts, specifying mandatory insurance coverage for contractors and vendors. The checklist details required insurance types including Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence), Commercial Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 per accident), Workers' Compensation, and Professional Liability ($1,000,000 for professional contracts only). Contractors must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming WSAFCA as the certificate holder, with all policies except Workers' Compensation requiring additional insured status.

The insurance requirements include specific endorsement criteria, such as naming the City, its officers, officials, employees, agents, and volunteers as additional insureds, and including endorsements that state the insurance is primary and non-contributory. The Workers' Compensation policy must contain a waiver of subrogation endorsement in favor of the City. Contractors are instructed to forward these requirements to their insurance agent or broker and must attach a copy of the Additional Insured Endorsement to verify that the policy has been properly endorsed.
