About this file
This is a Certificate of Insurance Requirements checklist for standard city contracts issued by the City of West Sacramento, California. The document outlines mandatory insurance coverage that all contractors and vendors must obtain and maintain throughout the contract period. The City of West Sacramento serves as the Certificate Holder and requires all policies, except Workers' Compensation, to name the City as an additional insured. All certificates must provide thirty days' written notice to the Certificate Holder prior to cancellation or material change of insurance coverage.
The required insurance coverage includes Commercial General Liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate; Commercial Automobile Liability of $1,000,000 per accident; Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability according to statutory requirements; and Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) of $1,000,000 per claim if applicable. Both General Liability and Automobile Liability policies must include Additional Insured Endorsements equivalent to CG 2010 0714 naming the City, its officers, officials, employees, agents, and volunteers as additional insureds, along with Primary and Non-Contributory Endorsements and Separation of Insureds clauses. Additionally, the Workers' Compensation policy must include a Waiver of Subrogation Endorsement in favor of the City, its officers, agents, and employees. Contractors must provide a copy of the Additional Insured Endorsement attached to the Certificate of Insurance to verify that policies have been properly endorsed; certificates lacking this documentation will be considered incomplete.
