About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a federal contract opportunity to provide waste/recycling disposal services to the Pinon Health Center. The SOW outlines the services required, which include furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and transportation to exchange 40-yard waste bins and 8-yard recycling bins on an as-needed basis. The period of performance is January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, with service provided Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Key performance standards are defined, such as 100% on-time delivery, 100% compliance with facility protocols, and 100% customer satisfaction. Contractor performance will be evaluated using the NIH Contractor Performance Report, with incentives and disincentives tied to the quality of service provided.
The related federal contract opportunity is a sole source intent to award notice for solid waste collection and disposal services at the Chinle Service Unit facilities, including the Pinon Health Center. The proposed contractor is Navajo Sanitation, who is deemed the only responsible source able to provide the required services without interruption to patient care. The period of performance consists of a one-year base period from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025, plus four one-year option periods. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but any responses must provide clear evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government.
