PROJECT OVERVIEW

Introduction The existing EPDM roofing system was installed approx. 20 years ago, exceeding its expected service life. During recent storm (micro burst) on 6 July 2026, excessive and high winds caused the roof membrane to be ripped off damaging roof penetrations and under structural support to more than 60% of the roof. The combined storm damage and continued aging has increased the risk of water intrusion into Jet Inspection and Maintenance facility. The facility roof membrane material was negatively tested for asbestos, but based on the age of the facility, asbestos may still be present in other areas and will require remediation when found.

The State of Colorado, DMVA is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the A31 Roof Repair, B960 project.
