About this file

This document is a Notice of Intent to Award issued by the Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 25-040-MC regarding 69 KV Vertical Air Break Replacement Disconnects. KUA intends to award the contract to Engineered Power Products, Inc. for the procurement of four outdoor 2000A, 69KV Vertical Break Transformer Disconnect switches and accessories for the Marydia and BVL Substations. The notice is dated May 9, 2025, and indicates that the award is subject to final approval by the KUA Board of Directors, with the successful bidder not acquiring any legal rights until a contract or purchase order is executed.

The document outlines KUA's procurement procedures, including provisions that allow the utility to revoke the award, proceed to the next lowest responsive and responsible bidder, or re-solicit the project if the apparent successful bidder fails to accept, negotiate, or execute the contract. The notice also provides a mechanism for potential bidders to file a written notice of protest within 72 hours of the posting of the decision, excluding weekends and legal holidays. While specific pricing details are not included in this notice, the document emphasizes KUA's discretion in the procurement process and its commitment to maintaining flexibility in contract award and execution.
