| A | Output power must be selectable by two methods. The operator can select a function for the control of the radio to reduce power to a pre determined level. The second method is that a frequency or channel in a radio may not be authorized at the full power the radio is capable of. In this instance the radio is actually programmed only to operate at the defined reduced power on that frequency or channel. |
| B | Radio shall be able to produce standard 38 tones as defined in the EIA TIA chart as programmed on a per channel or per personality basis. |
