3.7.4.4 SFLC Std Spec 0000, page 11, paragraph 3.2.5, add the following bullets to the bulleted list:
• Identifies the “critical paths” for the project.
• Shows calculations for the “float” along the critical paths and labels the critical paths with the number of delay days the critical paths can absorb without affecting the final delivery date.
3.7.4.5 SFLC Std Spec 0000, page 11, Add the following Note between paragraphs 3.2.5 and 3.2.5.1:

Submit the resource constraint and scheduling evaluation via a CFR.
NOTE
The intent of the resource constraint and scheduling evaluation is to identify the resources necessary to ‘crash’ the critical path or make adjustments to the production schedule to meet the delivery date in lieu of a project extension.”

Upon completion of work, the Contractor shall remove all installed protective measures, inspect for the presence of contamination, and return all contaminated equipment, components, and spaces to original condition of cleanliness.
3.1.4 Interferences. The Contractor shall handle all interferences in accordance with SFLC Std Spec 0000, paragraph 3.3.5 (Interferences).
CAUTION
Prior to step 3.2, the Coast Guard crew will complete Red Danger Tags IAW COMDTINST 9077.1 (series) and attach them to the following: Circuit Breaker CB2, ENGINE PRIMARY, Power Panel 24 VDC ENGINE BUS 24P2, “OFF”; and Circuit Breaker CB1, ENGINE SECONDARY, Power Panel 24 VDC VITAL BUS 24P1, “OFF”.
NOTE
See COTR and Coast Guard Drawing for any questions related to alignment of MDE to Auragen Generator.
3.1.5 Operational test - initial. Prior to commencement of work, the Contractor shall witness Coast Guard personnel perform an initial operational test of all items or shipboard devices to be disturbed, used, repaired, or altered, to demonstrate existing operational condition. Submit a
CFR.
3.2 Alignment. The Contractor shall align the Main Diesel Engine to the Auragen Generator in accordance with Coast Guard Drawing 45 RBM 311-004.
3.2.1 Remove the Generator Drive Shaft. The Contractor shall remove the three roll pins (Refer to Figure 1) from the OHLA Shaft Flange. Install the MDE-Generator Alignment Tool, P/N:
MMRBM0030, as follows:
CAUTION
The three shoulder bolts of the MDE - Generator Alignment Tool are to secure and align the MDE alignment flange to the MDE adapter.
Do not use the three shoulder bolts to secure the generator alignment flange to the overhung load adapter shaft. Failure to adhere to this caution can result in misalignment of the MDE to the generator and damage the generator drive shaft.
3.2.2 Align the Generator Alignment Tool Flange (Refer to Figure 2) (1) to the Overhung Load Adapter (OHLA) Shaft (2). Install the three bolts (3) to secure the Generator Alignment Tool Flange to the OHLA Shaft. Slide the Alignment Sleeve (4) onto the Generator Alignment Pin.
15 (Rev-0)
Align the MDE Alignment Tool Flange (5) to the MDE Adapter (6). Install the three shoulder bolts (7) to secure the MDE Alignment Tool Flange to the MDE Adapter. Submit a CIR.
CAUTION
Do not force the alignment sleeve when checking MDE-To-Generator alignment. Forcing the alignment sleeve will cause the alignment sleeve to bind, damaging the surfaces of the alignment sleeve and the alignment sleeve pins.
3.2.3 Check MDE Generator Alignment. Slide the Alignment Sleeve (Refer to Figure 3), (1) towards the MDE Adapter (2). Verify the Alignment Sleeve slides to the MDE Alignment Pin mark (3) using finger force. Slide the Alignment Sleeve towards the OHLA Shaft (4). Verify the Alignment Sleeve slides to the Generator Alignment Pin mark (5) using finger force. Alignment is satisfactory if the Alignment Sleeve slides to each alignment pin mark using finger force.
Proceed to 3.2.3.1. Alignment is unsatisfactory if the Alignment Sleeve does not slide to each alignment pin mark using finger force.
3.2.3.1 The Contractor shall check the offset distance of the alignment pins as follows: Measure the offset distance between the two alignment pins (Refer to Figure 4). Adjust MDE Alignment.
3.3 Final Steps. The Contractor shall remove the MDE-Generator Alignment Tool as follows:
Remove the three shoulder bolts (Refer to Figure 2), (7) that secure the MDE Alignment Tool Flange (5) to the MDE Adapter (6). Remove the MDE Alignment Tool Flange from the MDE Adapter. Remove the Alignment Sleeve (4) from the Generator Alignment Tool (1). Remove the three bolts (3) that secure the Generator Alignment Tool Flange to the OHLA Shaft (2). Remove the Generator Alignment Tool Flange from the OHLA Shaft. Install the three roll pins (Refer to Figure 1), (1) to the OHLA Shaft Flange (2). Install the Generator Drive Shaft. Submit a CIR.
CAUTION
The Coast Guard will remove Red Danger Tags IAW COMDTINST
9077.1 (series) from the following and place in the normal operational position: Circuit Breaker CB2, ENGINE PRIMARY, Power Panel 24 VDC ENGINE BUS 24P2. Circuit Breaker CB1, ENGINE SECONDARY, Power Panel 24 VDC VITAL BUS 24P1.
