ISD Visitor Log Procedure No: ISD-215 Revision: 03

1.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE

1.1 This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) contains the guidance concerning the ALC (Aviation Logistics Center) visitor log. This SOP is based on NIST 800-53 security controls.

2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY

2.1 It is the responsibility of the ALC Help Desk team lead and all members of the Help Desk team to ensure all visitors are accurately assigned the proper visitor badge, and logged into and out of the ALC visitors log book. This process shall meet all DHS and ALC security requirements.

The visitor log will be reviewed by the ALC Help Desk team lead every 30 days, and documented in the HEAT system. Any discrepancies will be resolved at that time.

5.0 PROCEDURE

5.1 Issuing visitor badges.

5.1.1 All visitors that need access to controlled areas in Building 63 are required to be issued an ALC visitor badge. They must have a picture ID, and be accompanied by a government sponsor. The ALC help desk will assign the visitor a badge depending on their level of access per their government sponsor. Badge number 1, 2 and 3 give access to the server room. Authorized ISD personnel

Effective Date: 6/7/2013 must be with the visitor at all times when the visitor is in the server room. Badges 4 thru 9 provide access to all other areas in ALC, except the server room. The user must fill out the required information in the visitor badge log book:

• Date Out

• Time Out

• Badge #

• Initials (this should be the help desk member initials)

• Name of the visitor

• Sponsor

• Signature (this should be the visitor’s signature)

• Company name (visitor’s company)

• Company Phone

• Sponsor Initials

When the visitor badge is returned the following fields must be completed:

• Date In

• Time In

• Initials (Help Desk member initials)

• All visitor badges are required to be returned at the end of the day. If a visitor badge is shown to a guard upon entrance to the USCG base, the badge will be confiscated.
