HSCG23-15-R-QWDBU9 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
OFFEROR’S QUESTION GOVERNMENT’S
ANSWER
1 If electrical requirements are needed, to who will be responsible for this?
See Amendment 000001.
2 Since you are looking at a control system (AMX, Crestron or Extron), will this be like a typical military installation where we have to have an AV VLAN prior to connecting to your internet?
No.
3 The schedule shows seven (7) work days. Any flexibility to this?
See Amendment 000001.
4 In reference to the Technical content requirements on page 1, would you please expand? I am assuming the biographies of technicians, work performed on base or with military, GSA contracts that AV Sub-contractor holds, certifications (CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, DMCE, etc.) from manufactures for the commercial/federal space.
See Amendment 000001.
5 Can an offeror submit a proposal if they did not attend the site visit?
Yes, an offeror can submit a proposal if they did not attend the site visit.
6 Is there a list of equipment that has to be removed from each room?
The Government will remove the existing equipment before installation.
7 Is USCG responsible for all high voltage/AC wiring?
See Amendment 000001.
8 Are there any room drawings/furniture lay outs for this project?
There are no room drawings/furniture layouts for this project.
9 Are there existing projection screens in the room?
What are the projectors displaying on?
Yes, there are existing projection screens; the new projectors will use the existing screens.
10 What are the locations for the keypad controllers and the 10” touch panels.
See Amendment 000001.
11 Is there any information on the cameras or microphones used with the Cisco codecs?
See Amendment 000001.
12 Is there any specs on the CFE speakers already installed?
See Amendment 000001
13 Regarding the items on page number 38, item#
5.3.8 the push button keypads and & item # 5.3.9. I believe it would be repetitive and not cost effective to install both items. Did you mean for this to be an either/or item? It would be a duplicate to put a keypad and a touch panel at each location. For example: in the combined classrooms I would put
See Amendment 000001.
one touch panel (at the designated “Master location” and then keypads at the other two locations. Is this your intent?
14 Regarding the item 5.3.10. I did see that there were existing speakers in each classroom. Do these speakers link to a PA system throughout the building? If so, there would be no way to use the existing speakers for audio without the PA system provider providing a component; if all the speakers are wired together there would be no way to have individual classroom’s sounds separated. To alleviate adding/changing the PA system; My suggestion would be to add four ceiling mounted speakers per classroom for individual classroom sound.
See Amendment 000001.
15 Regarding award and deliver and installation of materials.
A. lectern/podium takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. Concerned as to whether this contract can be awarded in enough time for the lectern to be ordered and delivered to meet the installation date.
Would do everything possible to meet the deadline, but wanted to mention so all were aware of the delivery.
B. Under the deliverables section 6.0 – the schedule set for the installation is very tight.
For the classrooms 129 A/B/C because of the control and programming it is listed to be installed Sept 28 – Sept. 30 – this is only 3 days – I would project it taking approx. 5 days to install and set up the classroom properly.
C. My question: Is the availability of the classrooms for installation able to be extended by a few days? Especially the 3 combined classrooms.
See Amendment 000001.
16 Are the projectors, electric screens and whiteboards staying or are they to be removed by vender?
The statement of work includes 7 new projectors; the existing ones will be will be removed by the Government.
The electric screens and the white boards will remain in place.
17 Item 1 states 46" LED screen but description on See Amendment 000001.
page 35 after section 5.3.2 says 90 inch. Which is correct?
18 Where would you propose that this monitor be hung? Front, side or rear of room? Same image on projector and LED?
See Amendment 000001.
19 Item 8 mentions table top touch panel. Are you wanting to have same touch panel that exists in these rooms?
The Government is not requesting a specific name brand, but rather items that comply with the listed salient characteristics.
20 In reference to item 11 on page 2 (lectern), do you have an example of what you would like? Please provide spec sheet or model with manufacture.
The Government is not requesting a specific name brand, but rather items that comply with the listed salient characteristics.
21 5.3.2 Provide and install (7) 46 inches smart LED TV with articulating wall mounts, that meet or exceeds the following salient characteristics:
90 Inch Light Emitting Diode (LED) TV Blacklight: LED High Definition (1080P) Resolution
The statement is a 47in TV but in the description it lists 90in or greater TV, is this referring to the articulating mount size standard?
See Amendment 000001.
