The following Questions and Answers are incorporated into Solicitation HSBP1015Q0187 as of 8-28-2015. A revised statement of work (SOW) will be incorporated into the solicitation based on these responses.

Q1) Please provide further explanation of: “The contractor will purchase and install all vehicle/personnel barriers and semi-permanent/permanent speed control devices and signs as per ADOT plans.”

A1) Signage and barriers may be permanent per approved Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) traffic control plans and directions obtained by the Contractor. A sample plan will be attached to the solicitation for review purposes only.

Q2) Will contractors be required to provide electrical power to the installed canopy?

A2) A suitable main electrical power connection panel will be provided by the contractor. This panel will be placed on the eastside-center of the installed Canopy. Final electrical connections will be made by the Government.

Q3) What is the expected process for traffic shut downs?

A3) Traffic shutdowns must be coordinated with ADOT, in consultation with Office of

Border Patrol (OBP). ADOT may restrict installation activities to 1200 hours (midnight) to 0600 hours, to minimize the impact on traffic.

Q4) What permits need to be applied for and is there an estimated cost for each?

A4) It is the contractor’s responsibility to research and obtain all licenses, permits, pay all charges, fees, taxes and give notices necessary and incidental to the lawful prosecution of the work.

The closing date and time of the RFQ is extended to 9-1-2015, 1:00 PM MST. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
