QUESTION(S) and ANSWER(S)
Q. Does the Government expect the same instructor to be proficient in Arabic (MSA), as well as Iraqi and Moroccan dialects? Or can a prime contractor submit resumes for three different instructors under the same solicitation?
A. The Government's preference is to contract for one instructor who is proficient in Arabic (MSA), as well as Iraqi and Moroccan dialects;
however, it is not required that a quoter provide only one instructor to satisfy all three language instruction requirements. Having said that, because of the nature of our mission and that of the clients we support, we sometimes get very little advance notice of which language will be required for each academic term. Additionally, it is difficult to predict over the course of the contract which dialect will be in high demand relative to the other dialects. It is the contractor's responsibility to provide the necessary teaching services at a firm fixed price for each of the target languages as the needs arise for up to the specified number of academic terms each period.
